The benchmark index of Amman Stock Exchange declined on Wednesday’s session hurt by services and financial sectors after two straight sessions of rally.
As a result, the benchmark index declined by 0.38% losing 8.13 points and closed at 2132.11 points.
The index had risen yesterday by 0.32% gaining 6.83 points and closed at 2140.22.
At the sectors level, the services and financial sectors declined by 0.55% and 0.37% respectively, while the industry sector increased by 0.09%.
Shares of 140 companies were traded, 38 rose, 63 declined, while the remaining ones kept flat.
The top three gainers were, the Taameer Jordan Holdings Public Shareholding Company by 8.33%, Ibn Alhaytham Hospital Company by 7.44% and Hayat Pharmaceutical Industries Co. by 5.71%.
The top three losers were, Resources Company For Development And Investment Plc by 6.67%, Real Estate Development by 6.67% and The Arab International Food Factories by 5.00%.
Total of 5.5 million shares were traded through 3,535 transactions at a turnover of JOD 6.2 million.
